The Morning Session Workshop

After a short introduction, we all watched an extract from a video.
We discussed what types of bullying were taking place in the video scenes.
What could the children have done to stop the bullies?

The pupils then practised and performed a series of role-plays.
At the end of each role-play they identified the different types of bullying
that took place and suggested what could be done to stop the bullies.

"David is on a bus going to school. He is upstairs.
Another girl and boy get on and sit behind him."

"Kenny and Mike are hanging around on the playground.
Robin tries to get on to the playground. There is a teacher on duty."

This is a play about Peter who is walking to school
and two other boys Darren and Jimmy.
Peter walks with his lunchbox. Darren and come up behind him.

"Dale and Penny are on the playground.
Morris is playing on his own."

"This is story about two girls,
Debbie and Claire. Debbie is on a swing in the playground.
Debbie swings and is approached by an Claire (a bigger girl)."

"This is a little play about a boy called James,
who is walking through a park. Shane is a much bigger boy.
The two boys cross paths.
Shane slouches with his hands in his pockets."
